Scope and Contents of the Materials

The Kelly McCullough papers consists of printed (paper-based) manuscripts for poems, short stories, novels, and presentations given by the author. The collection also contains a small amount of correspondence related to these materials. The collection is divided into series based upon format. Series I consists of novels, series II short stories, series III correspondence, and series IV miscellaneous materials. The majority of materials are arranged within each series according to the original date of publication.

Collection Historical Note

Kelly McCullough's first novel, WebMage was released by ACE books in 2006 and followed by a sequel, Cybermancy in 2007. McCullough is also involved in using science fiction to teach science. His recently released book, Chronicles of the Wandering Star, is an illustrated science fiction serial novel that is part of the InterActions in Physical Science project (formerly CIPS), a National Science Foundation-funded middle school curriculum that uses extensive computer simulations and a research based approach to teach physical science. His work has appeared in Tales of the Unanticipated, and the anthologies Writers of the Future Vol XVII, and The DNA Helix.
