The Winnebago Mutual Insurance Company was founded in 1874. The company’s name was Winnebago County Mutual Fire Insurance Company. In the 1989 Rockford City Directory the company’ name was listed as the Winnebago Mutual Fire Insurance Company and in the 1990 Rockford City Directory the company changed its name to the Winnebago Mutual Insurance Company. The company is located in Loves Park.
