Student Papers, 1871+ | Northern Illinois University

Scope and Contents: These records include student notebooks, exams, research papers, literary works, some correspondence, and photographs.  Some of the personal papers pre-date the establishment of the university.  The series is arranged by surname of the student, although not strictly alphabetically.  The papers are organized into two subseries.  The first subseries contain only a few items per student.  The second subseries contains more substantive materials for each students.  Researchers seeking material relating to students should consult additional University Archives collections, especially Student Publications (UA 36), Student Activities (UA 35), and Alumni Association (UA 8).
