Administrative/Biographical History
Clark C. Cryor was born in Dixon in 1907. He was an insurance broker for the Crum-Halsted Insurance Agency. He was active in the community, serving as president of the DeKalb Rotary Club, Chairman of the United Fund Drive during the 1950s, as well as being a lifelong member of the Elk’s Club No. 765. An avid photographer, Clark founded Cry-Dun Studios of DeKalb. He produced industrial, public service, and educational film strips and movies, some of which won him international awards. Clark passed away on February 21, 1977.
