Scope and Contents: The Denton Family Papers document the Denton Family from 1895 to 1965. The majority of the collection consists of correspondence between family members, ledgers, school work, and family and military photographs. Also contained in the papers is Mrs. Elfie Denton's 1935-1936 daybook, a 1936 calendar she used as a daybook, and a notebook of poems and stories collected by Dorothea Denton entitled, “My Crazy Book.” A short family tree, newspaper clippings, and legal documents help in explaining the relationship between the family members named in the correspondence.
