Administrative/Biographical History
Pamela Dean (Dyer-Bennet) was born in Illinois in 1953. She chose to be a writer at the age of five and her first piece to be published was a poem entitled "After Sorcery" in Seventeen magazine in 1969. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English from Carleton College and her Master's degree from SUNY-Binghamton. She used to be a member of the writing group Scribbles, was a contributor to the Liavek shared-world anthologies, and she is currently a member of the Pre-Joycean Fellowship. She is best known for her novel Tam Lin and her short stories. She married David Dyer-Bennet in 1982 and they currently live in Minneapolis.
