David J. Schwartz was born in 1970 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is a science fiction and fantasy writer famous for his short stories and novel, Superpowers. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Scandinavian Studies from the University of Wisconsin and his Master of Library Sciences degree from the University of Illinois. His stories have appeared in numerous publications, including Best of the Year 2007, The Best of Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, and Twenty Epics. His novel, Superpowers, was a finalist for the Nebula Award and he is also the author of the online Kindle serial Gooseberry Bluff Community College of Magic: The Thirteenth Rib.
