Records Relating to Oral History | Northern Illinois University
The Oral History collection is comprised of nine separate oral history projects. In most cases the interviews are available for listening on the original cassettes. Many of the interviews have been transcribed, but some have only abstracts. Five series focus on NIU history: Campus Unrest at NIU; Town-Gown Relations in DeKalb; NIU Biographies; History of the NIU Foundation; and NIU Centennial Histories. The other four are: Farming and Farm Families in DeKalb County; Workers at Wurlitzer during World War II; Burlington Strike Collection [OH-7, transcripts only]; and Regional Histories.
