Records Relating to Career Planning and Placeme... | Northern Illinois University
Northern created a Bureau of Appointments in 1922 to handle graduate job placement. In 1930 the name changed to Placement Bureau, and in 1972 it became part of the Student Affairs Division and was renamed the Career Planning and Placement Office. In addition to a history, and a newsletter and leaflets, this collection contains annual reports for the office from 1936 through 1973, and graduate follow-up reports (1981-1997). Also found here are reports on teacher supply and demand (1952-1978), enrollment projections (1954-1968), and population changes (1957-1971).
