On January 8, 1985 the Illinois Board of Higher Education authorized Northern Illinois University to create a new College of Engineering.  Included in this collection are materials describing the opening of the college, curriculum development, and copies of the college’s newsletter, the CEET News from the 1990s.  As a relatively new college the records in this collection are limited, and primarily cover the first fifteen years of the college’s existence.
