Records Relating to Education College | Northern Illinois University
Education classes have been a part of the university's curriculum since its founding as a normal school. In 1959, a major reorganization replaced university divisions with colleges, among them the College of Education. There are two series in this collection: college records and department records. College records include correspondence, committee and council files, studies and grant information, and on specific programs. Department records series contains minutes, reports, program proposals, and publications from the various departments within the college including outdoor teacher education, physical education, as well as information on McMurry Training School, and the University Schools.
