The Illinois General Assembly created the IBHE in 1961 to establish standards, programs, and curricula for all Illinois public universities and junior colleges.  This group contains minutes, executive officer reports, committee records, and publications.  Materials in this record group have been gleaned from accessions from various offices.  The complete run of IBHE official minutes and reports is located in the Government Documents section of Founders Library, the  officially designated depository on the NIU campus.
