Records Relating to Accrediting Associations | Northern Illinois University

The university began seeking accreditation in the 1920's.  The North Central Association awarded partial accreditation in 1931 and full accreditation in 1935.  This record group has material from several accrediting organizations including the North Central Association and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.  Accrediting policies, visitation reports, and institutional self-studies are among the records in this collection.
