Physical Description: The collection is compirsed to 10 boxes of papers, copies of articles, newspaper clippings, maps, and manuscripts.  Each box contains from 5 to 30 folders.  There are also four large boxes that contain an extensive bibliography, printed and handwritten on notecards.
Scope and Contents: The Paul J. Bennett Collection contains Dr. Bennett’s research on Burma in the form of primary and secondary sources such as newspaper articles (both clippings and photocopies) in English and Burmese, papers, handwritten notes, short stories, photos, correspondences, statements by various government agencies, and book chapters.   The collection spans from 1958 to 1989 a majority of it however, is from the 1970’s.  Topics in this collection range from Burmese history and literature, to government, law, military and daily life of the Burmese.  The collection also includes items concerning other Southeast Asian countries, as well as Australia, Germany, Latin America and Portugal.  The collection also includes an extensive bibliography.
